Johnathan Phipps BSc – Sports Massage Therapist
Johnathan holds an ITEC level 3 diploma in sports massage is currently studying Osteopathy as part of a 5 year masters degree. He is also focused on achieving a UKSCA strength and conditioning qualification adding to his vast knowledge and experience of sports, exercise and physiology.
Johnathan has always been involved in sport and is fascinated by the human body. He studied a degree in exercise physiology at Coventry University, graduating in 2005, then going on to work as an exercise physiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford in cardiac rehabilitation and GP referral.
In 2007 he moved abroad lecturing sports science alongside playing rugby in New Zealand, before an 8 year stint playing and coaching professional rugby in Spain. He gained 8 international caps for Spain before retirement called.
More recently he consults for the Hungarian Rugby Union, enjoys Crossfit and trying new sports and forms of exercise.
